I love the use of mirrors in interior design. They add so much light and space to a room – especially if you go large!
This stunning mirror finally arrived last week and I am in love! It hasn’t been an easy journey, however.
We ordered this mirror months ago. Well, not this one exactly… let me explain!
The first iteration arrived in the summer of 2022. Sadly, as we began to unpack the mirror, we saw that the glass had shattered.
So, we sent it back.
A replacement mirror was sent. That too was shattered.
So, we sent it back.
The third mirror arrived and, you’ve guessed it, the glass had shattered. We requested that the company send the next mirror with more protective packaging. The previous mirrors had been delivered with very little protection.
The fourth mirror arrived with slightly more packaging but to no avail. The glass was, once again, shattered.
We were, by this point, exasperated. The trouble was that we had already placed the mirror’s fixings onto our newly decorated wall and so we were all a bit committed to this mirror!
As this mirror’s frame had not been damaged, my husband had a genius idea to remove the shattered glass and get it reglazed.I have to say it was worth the wait… and I learned a lot about the value of proper packaging!
